Season One of Cereal struck Gold at the New York Radio Festival, so we had to have another bite at the Apple. The first 3 Episodes of Cereal: Park Life are live with more dropping every Thursday.

This time out, Aoife and Katie have hit the road to uncover a brand-new mystery. The pals are packed off to the midlands for a small-town summer with Aoife's Nanna in Troid Mor.

Sounds like a snoozefest? Incorrect, spoons! Turns out village life is no walk in the park when a whiff of scandal turns into a whole pile of dramatic doggie doodoo – good thing Aoife took a leaf out of Rian’s book and brought her podcasting gear.

A gigantic fight that no one will explain, a conspiracy theorist broadcasting from a pirate ship in the pond, a hooded figure known only as The Cloak.

Season 2 has all the ingredients for a sizzling hot stew pot of summer shenanigans and that’s just for starters. Join a host of fast and furious characters old and new, even some with dubious fake beards, as the girls must find the answers without losing their friendship.

Season 1 Recap

In the first season we introduced Rian, transition year student, podcast enthusiast and reluctant runner on RTÉ’s reality TV show, The Novice. No one was better situated to expose the rotten core of this seemingly wholesome, family-friendly competition.

Hosted by former broadcasting legend and failed adult roller skate salesman Harry O’Connor, his big TV comeback sought to catapult the brightest young entrepreneurs in the country (or at least in the one school he visited) to fame and fortune.

Contestants included tech-savvy Xavier with his Homework Helper app, climate conscious Fergus’ revo-looo-tionary Bog Log and brother/ sister duo Clara and PJ’s Mood Nail Varnish; so you can tell when’s a good opportunity to approach Mum for a favour and when it’s time to scarper. Leading the charge though, were Katie and Aoife with their so-delicious-they-couldn’t-be-healthy healthy cereal bar "Crunch Ems".

But when that season crunched it, we left listeners hungry for more. So now we’ve serving up a dish that’s even more delicious. Welcome to Cereal: Park Life.
