On RTÉjr's podcast, What's for Dinner?, host Florrie brings us food from all over the world made right here in Ireland. Why not try some of the great recipes over the holidays?
Over the series, we learn how to make everything from tortillas to fish fritters, brownies and much more. It's the cooking show for all the family but we'd love if all the kids could take the lead and give the grown-ups a day off in the kitchen. With the help of an adult you could cook a meal for everyone after tuning in!

Meet your host!
Florrie is 14, from Belfast, and she is the youngest of 3. She has one older brother and an older sister and the family dog Ferris. Her best friend is Cate, she loves Harry Styles, live music and hanging out with her friends.
How important is food to you?
Very! Obviously it's delicious but also my favourite food memories all involve people coming together at the dinner table, whether that’s Christmas dinner, family birthdays or my best friend Cate and I making and eating pizzas. I also love to have the chats with my mum while we make chicken wraps for lunch.
What is your favourite meal?
Easy! A roast chicken dinner with my nan’s roast potatoes and all the trimmings like buttery carrots, herby stuffing and gravy.
Can you cook?
I used to be more of a baker but this summer I’ve gotten more into cooking savoury dishes.
What is your signature dish?
My signature dish at the moment is pizza, I’ve been working on perfecting my own tomato sauce.
What can we expect from the new show?
The series is a lot of fun, we meet lots of kids who learn to make delicious food from Ireland and all over the world like tortillas from Mexico, curry from North India and fish cakes from Montserrat.
All the recipes are fairly easy and there are lots of vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options too. I’ve tried cooking all of the dishes at this stage and they’re easy to manage with a little bit of help.
