It's presented by Mr Morgan, a storyteller with a sense of tradition. He thinks children should sit quietly and listen as he tells a tale.
Sam and Izzy are both 7 and they think otherwise! They do all they can to "improve" his stories. Luckily we got to sit down for an exclusive interview with Mr Morgan to set the record straight and give you an idea of how a show comes together...
Why don’t you tell us a little bit about yourself and your show?
Mr Morgan: Very well. My name is Mr. Morgan and I’m a storyteller. In my new radio series, Storytime Takeover, I’ll be reading some classics we all know and love in a very calm, relaxed, and old-fashioned way.
Sam: You mean in a BORING WAY!
Mr Morgan: Sam? Izzy?! What are you doing here?!
Izzy: It’s not just your series, it’s our series too!
Sam: Yeah we did most of the storytelling!
Mr Morgan: No you didn’t!
Izzy: We did all the fun bits and you did all the boring bits!
Sam: Yeah!
Mr Morgan: Do you see what I have to deal with here? Indeed. So…what kind of stories will you be reading on your show?
Sam: OUR show!
Mr Morgan: I’ll be reading-
Izzy: We’ll be reading!
Mr Morgan: Fine, WE’LL be reading stories about Princesses in far away lands, wizards who cast powerful spells, fire-breathing dragons and-
Sam: BORING! Ask him about the crisp monster! Ok…is there a crisp monster involved somehow?
Mr. M: Yes…there’s a crisp monster involved. A smokey bacon crisp monster.
Izzy: And 5 million fire-breathing dragons!
Sam: And a squishy gooey alien with 200 tentacles!
Izzy: And a lonely old spider!
Sam: And a fearless Warrior Queen!
Izzy: And a 100 mile long fish!
Sam: And a Goblin named Gobby!
Mr Morgan: For the last time, it’s Gabby!
Izzy: Gabby is a silly name.
Mr. Morgan: Well I think Gobby is a silly name!
Sam: Gabby is sillier than Gobby!
Mr Morgan: No, Gobby is sillier than Gabby!
Izzy: Gabby!
Mr Morgan: Gobby!
S: Gabby!
