It's Sports Day at Scoil Eoin, and Milly McCarthy is going for gold! Between the egg and spoon race, tug-of-war and a spot of archery, what could possibly go wrong?!

We have Chapter 13 (Yikes!) of Milly McCarthy and the Sports Day Shambles by Leona Forde here!!

Milly McCarthy is a ten-year-old girl from Cork. When her beloved Múinteoir Emer takes time off school to get a bunion removed, a zero-craic, fitness-obsessed substitute teacher attempts to take control of Milly’s wild class.

After a particularly catastrophic science lesson, the only viable solution for harnessing the class’s boundless energy is a school Sports Day. Milly – and the substitute teacher – will do whatever it takes to win.

On your marks…get set…DISASTER! The third instalment in an exciting middle-grade series taking Ireland by storm, Milly’s Rebel pride and infectious energy bubble over every page – and where Milly goes, an accidental trail of chaos is sure to follow! Sprinkled with cúpla focail and unapologetically Irish references, young readers will find a friend in this calamitous Cork cailín.
