A hurley-making business in Co Galway is to close at the end of the month, citing "supply chain difficulties".
Canning Hurleys said problems accessing the wood needed to make hurleys has been compounded by ash dieback disease.
The business, operated by the well-known Portumna based sporting family, opened in 2011.
In a statement, the company said it prided itself on providing hand-made hurleys for use in Ireland and around the world.
It said it was no longer in a position to guarantee the quality of its products, as a result of the issues it outlined with materials.
Operations will cease next Thursday.
