Despite only recently joining the weather team, Trev has worked across various radio and TV production and presenting roles for over 20 years. In fact, he quit college at 20 for his first gig with the AA Roadwatch team on RTÉ Radio 1 and 2FM.

Following 7 years of southbound tailbacks, Trev moved over to TV where he worked up the ranks, from making tea on Open House to showbiz reporting on the Afternoon Show to becoming the Friday co-host of the programme as well.

But he didn't stop there!Along the way there was breakfast presenting in the regional radio station Beat.He was also a researcher on The Podge and Rodge Show, Wagon’s Den and The Big Interview with Mike Murphy, to name just a few.

TV producing also beckoned with Trev making diverse programmes such as We Won the Lotto, Six in the City and Ladies Day.He also brought Vogue Williams to our screens in her first presenter role with Vogue Does Home and Away which was filmed in Ireland and parts of Australia – we think he did it just for the airmiles!!!

From 2010 Trev has been one of the familiar voices across RTÉ TV as part of the TV and Radio Continuity team.

Amidst all of that, he did finally manage to complete his third level studies when, in 2017, he went back to college as a mature student for a Masters in TV and Radio Journalism. And he got a first-class honours for his work which included a radio documentary about the damage bad press can cause to a good name.
