Gardaí in Monaghan have seized suspected stolen machinery during the search of a property.
The operation was carried out yesterday as part of the Coss Border Joint Action Task Force, with the assistance of the Armed Support Unit.
No one was arrested during the operation.
Gardaí said they have been liaising with the PSNI about a large number of fraud incidents in both jurisdictions over the past two years.
They said the frauds involve a victim agreeing to sell machinery like mini-diggers, forklifts and quads and the buyer using a stolen or cloned credit card, or provided a screenshot of a fake or cancelled bank transfer.
Gardaí said the goods are then handed over but the seller does not receive any money.
PSNI officers in South Armagh also carried out a number of searches yesterday as part of this operation.
