Dublin's Camden Street has placed 22nd on the world's coolest streets list by Time Out magazine.
What makes a street cool, exactly? Well, according to the travel and hospitality media group, a top-tier thoroughfare should offer up much more than a decent walk.
As well as being able to spend hours exploring creative new ventures in the food and beverage scene, there should be plenty of nightlife and culture hubs on offer.
According to Irish journalist Kate Demolder, Camden Street made the cut thanks to its handy location, no-frills grit, and buzzy dining spots.
"Mentioned in Ulysses, and around the corner from the ancestral home of George Bernard Shaw, Camden Street is characterised by unpretentious pubs, political street art and a buzzy dining scene. It’s full of surprises, from Ireland’s best Taco Truck Los Chicanos to the secret Cake Café, accessible only by way of high-ceilinged, secondhand book seller The Last Bookshop."
As well as recommending sourdough cinnamon buns from Meet Me In The Morning, and small plates at Mister S, Demolder suggests enjoying a pint of plain in the Bleeding Horse, or a DJ set at Hang Dai. You can read the full piece here.
Topping this year's rankings is High Street in Melbourne, Australia, followed by Hollywood Road in Hong Kong and East Eleventh in Austin, Texas.
