On the night of 3rd Feb 2007 I was driving down from Derry to Belfast under a blood red moon. It was the opening round of the National Football League and 100 miles away in Dublin, 81,678 people had packed into Croke Park to watch the first ever floodlit GAA match.
It was the largest attendance at any sporting event in the world that weekend.
I'd toyed with the idea of going, but not being from either Dublin or Tyrone, I contented myself with listening to it on the radio on the journey down - and the man describing the action was Mícheál Ó Muirchartaigh...
