In memory of the late sculptor Imogen Stuart, who died last month... For Sunday Miscellany on RTÉ Radio 1, listen to Imogen Stuart: Rara Avis, by Alison Fitzgerald above.
The work of the late sculptor Imogen Stuart, who died last month aged 96, can be seen in almost every county in Ireland.
Public favourites include her early Fiddler of Dooney in Stillorgan Shopping Centre; I'm always struck by how children are drawn to that piece and dance around it like the sculpted children.
Another is the stone sculpture of children on the Village Green at Tyrrellspass.
And thousands of students who went through UCD will remember Imogen's Pangur Bán group of a scholar and his cat, with a bespoke bench to encourage you to pause...
