A startup that has developed a breastfeeding monitor, Coroflo, has today officially opened its new offices in DCU Alpha in Dublin.

With a recent funding round of €3m and a total investment to date of €6m, Coroflo said it is now set for swift and sustainable expansion.

The company has doubled its workforce in the last six months and aims to further expand its workforce with six additional hires over the next 12 months, while it recently appointed ex-Tánaiste Mary Harney to its board.

The company has secured contracts with several pharmacy retail chains including McCabes and McCauleys and will launch its "Coro" product to the market later this year.

Coroflo's technology supports and equips breastfeeding mothers to monitor milk intake during the formative weeks and months after the birth of a new baby.

"Today's opening marks a milestone for Coroflo. Our upcoming product launch of Coro, the opening of the new office and the enhanced leadership team underscore our resolve to set the gold standard for growth and inspiration in the femtech landscape," CEO and co-founder Rosanne Longmore said.

"We're grateful for the trust our investors have placed in us and excited about the opportunities ahead," she added.

Leo Clancy, the CEO of Enterprise Ireland, said Coroflo is a high potential start-up bringing innovation and adaptability to the critical area of infant feeding, providing new mothers with the confidence through technology to continue their breastfeeding journey.

"Enterprise Ireland is proud to support the company on its scaling ambitions and I’d like to congratulate the team on their significant achievements to date. Under the leadership of CEO and co-founder Rosanne Longmore, we are confident that Coroflo can go from strength-to-strength and make its mark offering a highly innovative consumer medtech solution to the world," he added.

Opening the new offices today, Minister of State for Business, Employment and Retail, Emer Higgins, said that it paves the way for this innovative company to grow and scale.

"The Government, through Enterprise Ireland, looks forward to continued engagement with Coroflo to support the growth of the business into the future," she added.
