High Road, Low Road is a fun, travel show which pairs top celebrities and sends them off to popular holiday destinations, city break favourites and far flung places for an unforgettable adventure of discovery, culture and fun!
However…Both are headed to the same location, but they'll have very different experiences.
For one holidaymaker, it’s first class travel, luxury hotels and the finest cuisine. Five-star all the way. For their companion, it’s economy travel, budget digs and local street food.
So as one is driven off in a limo to their luxurious five-star hotel, the other sets off to find the shuttle bus to their hostel. They will meet up several times on the trip to compare notes, and gloat.
But at the end it’s interesting to hear them talk and decide who has had the better time…
Episode One - Lanzarote
Anna Daly and James Kavanagh head off to popular hotspot Lanzarote for a sunny break. While one celeb sets off on their private catamaran and later relaxes in their private "swim up" pool the other celeb travels budget-style and cuddles goats.
Episode 2
Barbados is the sun-soaked destination for The Young Offenders actors and real life best friends Demi Isaac Oviawe and Jennifer Barry. Swimming with turtles, rum tasting, stunning caves and Rhianna's childhood home all feature as one celebrity gets a luxury trip while the other makes do on a budget.
Episode 3
First Dates Maitre D' Mateo Saine and bartender Neil Kenna travel to historical Bratislava. On the High Road, one celebrity enjoys a mud spa and a speed boat tour while over on the Low Road the other celebrity takes a bus tour and leans out over the river Danube from a hair-raising height on the UFO tower.
Episode 4
Vibrant Valencia is the exciting destination for Irish icons Mary Kennedy and Noel Cunningham. A side car tour, flamenco dancing, a hiking trip and a paella cooking class are all on the itinerary. But who will enjoy a five-star luxury trip and who will travel budget style on this episode of High Road Low Road.
Episode 5
It's the hidden gem of Slovenia for actor Simon Delaney and TV presenter Aidan Power as they discover Lake Bled, the Julian Alps and the vibrant and charming capital Ljubljana. Kayaking on the Soca, a Michelin star meal and a ring making experience are just some of the activities lined up but which one of the two celebrities gets to enjoy a five star luxury lifestyle while the other travels budget style.
Episode 6
Singapore is the exotic melting pot for Comedians Deirdre O'Kane and Emma Doran. Its a sky diving experience and a yacht trip for one celebrity but noodles and walk about the neighbourhoods for the other. So who is going High and who is going Low in one of the most pristine cities in the world.
