How can I become a story and/or script writer?

We welcome submissions from potential new writers. If you are interested, please send a sample script and a CV to faircityscripts@rte.ie.

For legal reasons, we cannot read any submission that is related to Fair City or its characters, so please do not go to the trouble of sending us story ideas, etc. The best thing to do is pick one completed script, in any form, of which you are particularly proud. This can be comedy or drama, for film, theatre, radio or television.

If your script has been produced, that is a bonus. The experience of production can greatly sharpen a script, and most of our writers come to us with a significant background in script-writing. But we really do read and respond to every submission, and we will always have a place for fresh voices on our team.

Please send your script as an attachment, in MS Word or RTF format, or as a PDF to the email address given above.
