Writer Oliver Goldsmith is mainly remembered for his novel The Vicar of Wakefield, the poem The Deserted Village and the comedy drama She Stoops to Conquer.

This is the 250th anniversary of the death of the Longford-born writer, wanderer, bon viveur and bard.

In association with the Goldsmith Festival, the actor Michael James Ford has written a new play about his eclectic life called, The Misadventures of Oliver Goldsmith.
