Last month, I flew to France to attend Paris Fashion Week and La Fête de la Musique. This trip was something my friends and I have been planning for years, and this just happened to be the year we finally decided to bite the bullet.
Apart from some scheduled events and networking opportunities, our traveling group of 15 creatives - ranging from models, photographers, DJs, and producers - all went with a very spontaneous approach, and we couldn't have asked for better results.
There is sometimes a misconception that Paris Fashion Week is all about the runway shows and luxury fashion houses, but I would argue that this only equates to about 30% of the fashion week experience. The remaining 70% is about taking in the buzz of the city and connecting with those in attendance.
Honestly, you really just have to be there, but I hope I’m able to convey at least an ounce of the vibe in Paris with my photos and interviews.

I have always had an interest in fashion, which originally stemmed from my Mam, but has truly taken off since 2017, when I started curating my own luxury clothing brand, The Royal Tobianco.
Paris was the perfect place for me to network with other designers, learn from other entrepreneurs, and get inspiration in arguably the most fashionable place on earth.
In the video above, I am interviewing models at the Daily Paper Casting that took place on the 19 June in Rue De La Mare Paris. Most of the models in the video were signed with agencies, so I asked them what advice they would give to someone looking to get into modelling as well as how they deal with the nerves before they walk runways.
