I Márta na bliana 1937 d'fhág naoi dteaghlach is leath chéad a bpaistí dúchais Gaeltachta. D'fhágadar Dún na nGall, Ciarraí, Maigh Eo agus Corcaigh chun pobal nua Gaeltachta a bhunú i mBaile Ghib, Co.na Mí. Tá stair na gluaiseachta sin breactha síos anois agus an leabhar 'Ceann Scríbe, Baile Ghib’. Seolfar in onóir agus in omós na ndaoine misniúla a thug faoin aistear sin.
Thugar leo a gcultúr, a gceol, a dtraidisiún, a n-oidhreacht agus a dteanga féin. Bhí macallaí de sin ar fad le clos ar an Saol Ó Dheas inné agus an leabhar á sheoladh.

In the year 1937, fifty-nine households left their native patches in Donegal, Kerry, Mayo and Cork to establish a new Gaeltacht in Baile Ghib Co. Meath. The history of this movement is now recorded in the book Ceann Scríbe, Baile Ghib which is being launched in honour of the courageous people who embarked on the sensational journey. They took with them their culture, tradition, heritage and language and echoes of this were heard on An Saol Ó Dheas yesterday as the book was being launched.
