How much creativity can you cram into an old phone box? It turns out, the answer is LOADS and that's just what we did with Ireland's Littlest Gallery for Cruinniú na nÓg 2024!
And, we got to revael reveal that the theme for RTÉ's This Is Art! competition for 2024, supported by Creative Ireland, is This Is Imagination!
We marked the big day with the pop-up gallery featuring a selection of some of the entries from the past three years. It was only open for one exclusive day, but it will pop up again - watch this space!
The theme for This Is Art! 2024 offers a blank canvas for budding creatives and young artists of all abilities to create whatever they can imagine.
It encourages entrants to have fun exploring the limitless realms of their creativity, allowing their imagination to take the lead. Young creators will be empowered to express themselves through whatever medium of art they prefer.
In the Littlest Gallery children and adults could explore the artworks with a magnifying glass, supplied in the phone booth, and get a glimpse of the incredible talent and creativity of young artists across Ireland.
Last year's This Is Art! competition received over 3,000 entries from young artists aged 18 and under. If you or someone you know is a budding young artist make sure to stay tuned for more news...
