Two people have died following a two-car collision in Co Donegal.
The incident happened on the N56 at Kilmacrennan at 11.50pm last night.
The man and a woman, aged both in their 70s and in the same car, died in the collision.
A post-mortem is due to take place.
108 people have died on Irish roads this year, an increase of 17 at the same time last year, according to figures from gardaí.
A woman, aged in her 40s, in the second car was brought to Letterkenny University Hospital for treatment of serious but non-life threatening injuries.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses.
They are asking if any road users who may have camera footage, including dash-cam, and were travelling in the area at the time are asked to make it available to them.
