Getting through every restaurant in Dublin is no easy feat, but food and travel content creator Éadaoin Fitzmaurice has spent the last few years sticking her fork in as many plates as possible.
Here's a roundup of her favourite spots, so you can get inspiration for your next meal, or add some new restaurants to your bucket list.
Whether it’s a special occasion or a quick casual bite you’re after, this list covers it all, with a mix of cuisines and budgets.
50. Brother Hubbard, Capel Street
With multiple venues across the city, Brother Hubbard is one of the OG’s when it comes to brunch. The menu features Mediterranean flavours and delectable sweet treats, and their bright, open spaces make them a particularly great spot for larger groups.
Try their classic scrolls for a sweet pick-me-up.
49. Space Jaru, Meath Street
If you’re looking for something different for lunch, the Korean bowls at Space Jaru deliver on flavour at a reasonable price. Dinner options feature fried chicken, dumplings and burgers. Alongside Korean classics like bulgogi and tteokbokki, you'll find surprising fusion dishes, like bulgogi arancini and rice cakes with wild garlic, smoked bacon and hazelnut.
If you're inspired by the punchy dishes, you can load up on Korean pantry staples in store so you can recreate some of these magical flavours at home.
48. Six by Nico, Molesworth Place
A six-course taster menu that rotates every six weeks, each theme more creative than the last. Six by Nico is the perfect place for date night - something totally unique and interactive, that will spark conversation throughout the night.

There’s nothing quite like a good salad, and Nutbutter are experts when it comes to the perfect bowl. With boho interiors, it’s the ideal place to kick back, eat well and feel well. You can customise your dish, adding sauces, toppings and sides to your choice of bowl, taco and more.
An insider tip: their matcha and white chocolate cashew nut bars are so delicious, they could - and have - converted even the most vocal matcha hater.
46. The Rolling Donut Kiosk, O'Connell St
The legendary Rolling Donut kiosk on O Connell St is the best place to pick up a quick treat on the go. Those warm cinnamon sugar rings deserve an honourable mention on this list.
Whether carried home in their slightly greasy brown bag to be savoured with a cuppa, or devoured on the street in an instant, they're a testament to the beauty of a classic.
45. Korean Table, Stoneybatter
Walking into Korean Table tucked away at the top of Stoneybatter is like walking into a friend’s home. The staff are so warm and friendly and the dishes never fail to impress.
Steaming bowls of bibimbap, egg fried rice topped with kimchi, slow cooked beef ribs and more are sent out with lashings of herbs, sesame seeds and luscious sauces, making them almost too pretty to eat. The Korean fried chicken here is a must.
44. Aobaba, Capel Street
If you want to try some authentic Vietnamese dishes, look no further than this tiny casual canteen on Capel Street. Their Bahn Mi is the closest we’ve tried to that of the ones off the side of the street in Hanoi. They pile on the coriander - we love to see it.
Round off your quick lunch or comforting dinner with a Vietnamese iced coffee (served with a dollop of condensed milk at the bottom) or a bubble tea for the complete experience.
43. Chimac, George’s Street
Who knew poutine and Korean fried chicken would go together so well? The Chimac poutine fries are one of the best dressed-fries dishes in the entire city. Their chicken burgers will also leave you drooling: the KimCheese, with Ssamjang and cheddar cheese sauce, spring onion kimchi and gochujang mayo is a particularly indulgent choice.
You can also buy their addictive BBQ and sriracha caramel sauces to go.
42. BuJo, Sandymount
Some of the tastiest burgers in town can be found in BuJo Sandymount. Few bakeries are as aesthetically pleasing as Elliot’s in Phibsborough. Their unconventional flavours are seasonal and sensational. Be sure to get in early as everything sells out quickly - if you're lucky, you might just score a maritozzo, an Italian brioche bun filled with whipped cream and topped with flavours like sour cherry and pistachio.
40. 3FE, Phibsborogh
3FE is one of the most popular coffee brands in Ireland, and it’s easy to see why. Their cafés dotted across the boroughs of the city are always buzzing with a diverse clientele from yummy mummies to digital nomads and of course droves of suits. Their menu is really well priced with most dishes coming in at under €10. You cannot beat their poached eggs on toast.

37. Cluck, Walkinstown
Chicken and carbs. If you’re looking, Cluck’s cooking. Specialising in chicken burgers, tenders, mac’n’cheese, loaded fries and shakes, Cluck takes comfort food to a whole new level. With two locations in Walkinstown and Tallaght, it's well worth the journey.
36. Amuri Deli, Chatham Row
Amuri Deli has the best sandwich in town. The Sicilian-style deli located just off Grafton Street charges €10.50 for their focaccia sambos that are loaded with pistachio cream, mortadella and cheese, a true homage to the panini found across Rome, Florence and other Italian cities.
Perfect for grabbing on the go, there are also a few small tables inside so you can sit and enjoy.
35. Hawksmoor, College Green
This is probably one of the most beautiful buildings in the city. Previously an old bank, now you can sit back in leather chairs and enjoy a boujee steak. As international chains go, this is one we are very excited to finally have in Ireland.
34. Good World, George’s Street
If you’re looking for some authentic Chinese flavours - very different from what you’re getting in your takeaway on a Saturday night - then Good World on George’s Street is one to try. The menu is absolutely huge, so you could visit 20 times and still have something new to sink your teeth into.
Don't miss the soup dumplings, the authentic Chinese roast duckling and the cheung fun, chewy rice noodle rolls.
33. Bread 41, Pearse Street
Buttery, flakey pastries are the star of the show at Bread 41. On any given day you’ll see queues going around the corner here as office-goers try to nab the perfect croissant before work. The almond croissant is our top pick, but always keep an eye on their weekly specials as this is where the team lets their imagination run wild.
32. The Old Spot, Bath Avenue
The Old Spot is one of only two Gastropubs in Dublin to be recommended by the Michelin "Eating out in Pubs" Guide annually, since 2016. A timeless spot that never waivers on quality. A great place to bring the parents out for dinner - there’s something for everyone.
31. El Grito, Mountjoy
El Grito is the closest contender to authentic Mexican flavours in Dublin. Located on Mountjoy Square, the venue is surprisingly spacious with ample seating. The menu is varied and reasonably priced so it’s great for groups. Round out a flavoursome meal with some fresh cinnamon-coated churros.

A charming wine bar hidden away in the lesser-visited side of Temple Bar. The menu is seasonal with Italian flavours throughout. A perfect place to escape the hustle and bustle over a superb glass of wine. Expect authentic and comforting specials like tartiflette and duck confit, but hurry before they're gone.

Daruma is Ireland's first authentic izakaya, a Japanese term that translates literally as "stay-drink-place", a spot where you can hunker down with some nibbles and a nice drink. Unsurprisingly, Daruma more than delivers on that promise.
The cosy tapas sake bar serves up some of the best sushi you will find in the city. Try the wagyu strips for a punchy umami flavour, or grab one of their hefty bento boxes if you're in a hurry but want a good meal while you're at it.

We try not to use the phrase "hidden gem" too much, but Day’N’Night truly falls under this title. Who knew you could order the freshest lobster roll just five minutes' walk from the Parnell Luas stop?
These guys have mastered the casual small plate, but also serve up Japanese classics such as unadon, rice topped with sweet and savoury eel fillets and eggs. A great place to call into before a show at The Abbey or The Gate.
21. Two Pups, Francis Street
Brunch is my favourite meal, that’s why so many feature top of this list. Two Pups is one that never fails. Located on the Francis Street, and with a new smaller spot in Fairview, the space here has endless nooks and crannies to nurse a good coffee in.
Specials change often, but their humble avocado on toast is still one of the most satisfying in the city.
20. Vice, Phibsborough
If it’s the cheesiest pizza you’re after, Vice is your only… vice. With a few branches in the city, many locals claim this to be the best pizza joint in town. They also serve chicken wings and tenders if you’re looking to mix it up.

You can also choose your perfect spice level. For those warmer summer months, try their dumplings - they’re equally as impressive.
18. 777, George’s Street
777 might just be the vibe-iest place in town. The legendary taqueria is full no matter the day of the week. Tuna sashimi tacos and the best spicy margarita you will ever try and lively tunes blaring… You honestly can’t beat it. Be sure to book ahead of time because it fills up here fast.

Benjamin’s Hot Chicken is the best chicken burger in town. Located in The Vintage Inn Pub in Irishtown, this is the perfect setting to indulge in some comfort food and enjoy a pint. You can choose how much heat you want on your chicken, but be warned: the spiciest will induce the sweats.

Looking for the perfect date night spot? We’ve got you. Bloom Brasserie on Baggot Street runs "Steak Tuesdays" each week which offers 18 oz Chateaubriand, two sides of your choice and a bottle of house wine for €99. Their beef is 100% Irish Black Angus of the absolute highest quality.
13. Terra Madra, Bachelor’s Walk
You’d walk right by Terra Madre without even knowing it’s there, and we’re sure you have done. This tiny authentic Italian on Bachelor’s Walk only has space for five or six tables, and all you have to do is look around at the many actual Italian people eating here to feel like you're in safe culinary hands.
Eating here is like being invited into the home of the family that runs this place. The truffle ravioli here is our top pick.
12. Mani, Drury Street

Crispy Roman-style pizza slices and Aperol in the sun on Dublin’s coolest street, Mani brings good vibes. The dough here takes three days to set. Their Carbonara slice, a heady creation topped with crisp bacon and slathered with an egg yolk sauce, must be tried. For nibbles on the go, grab one of their suppli, a Roman street food made from breaded and deep fried rice.
From Monday - Wednesday, you can add a Limoncello or Aperol spritz* for €9 when you buy any slice.
11. Park Lane Deli, Chapelizod
If you’re an acai lover, you have to visit Park Lane Deli in Chapelizod. Tucked into a corner just beside the Phoenix Park, it's an ideal stop if you're out for a leisurely walk or cycle.
They have a wide range of toppings available and their bowls range from small to large. The coffee here is up there as one of the best around and their breakie sambos slap. Honestly, we cannot rave about this place enough.
10. Bambino, Stephen Street
When Bambino opened in 2022, it was clear that this NYC pizza slice shop would become one of the most popular spots in town. There have been queues outside of it ever since. The Hot Pep slice is our top pick. Not a week goes by that we don’t crave it.
9. Loose Canon, Drury Street

8. Dash Burger, Kevin Street
The best burger in town can be found in Dash Burger. Super thin and grilled to an almost-state caramelisation, these smash burgers are bursting with flavour, and are perfectly crispy. Their sides are superb also, the chipotle cheese fries are the ultimate hangover cure.
7. Just Chubby’s, Clontarf
Food trucks have blown up over the last few years, we reckon Just Chubby’s is our favourite of them all, offering classic tacos alongside loaded fries and punchy salsas. The Mexican food truck in Clontarf often sells out before closing, so make sure to get down early if you want to try everything on the menu.
6. Sister7 @ Fidelity Studios, Benurb Street
One of the most exciting openings of the year has been Sister7 @ Fidelity Studios, a love child between Big Fan Bao, Fidelity and Whiplash. Specialising in Asian tapas, every single dish on this menu will blow you away.
Big Fan Bao also falls under this number on the list because it’s a brilliant spot, serving up most of the same dishes as Sister 7.
